Jillian Noel Hennely was born on 25 November 1968. She is a talented Canadian actress and performer who has made a significant contribution to American TV. Her work has received praise for her stellar performances on the American television series Law & Order in which she played Claire Kincaid as a prosecutor for three seasons, and Crossing Jordan, wherein she was Jordan Cavanaugh the main character for six years. Hennessy is also famous for her exceptional performances in RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. Some other movies are Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) as well as The Acting Class. Hennessy began her acting career as an actress in Dead Ringers with her sister. She starred for a brief time on Broadway performing Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, and then delved into science fiction in 1993 in the role of the character Dr. Marie Lazarus. The following year the biggest breakthrough came when she was cast in NBC's smash drama Law & Order to play assistant district attorneys Claire Kincaid. In this role she was awe-inspiring to viewers for three years until 1996. The actress was awarded an Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and An Emmy Award. Parker was also awarded an Tony Award in 2001 for Best Actress, for her performance as Proof in the musical Proof on Broadway.
