Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg, raised in Wellington and made her debut as Flora McGrath when she played her role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best supporting Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin born July 24, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster in the category of Best Supporting actress for portraying the bright and curious daughter of Holly Hunter's leading role on the film The Piano. She won the role of Flora McGrath the daughter of an blind Scottish pianist who in the late 19th century relocates to New Zealand for an arranged marriage when she responded to an open audition call at the age of nine. She was old, and had no previous acting experience. After moving to the United States, she became a teenager. Paquin was the main character in Fly Away Home in 1996 and had a minor part as Jane Eyre as only a child. Paquin was a part-time actress in the TV film of 1997 adaption of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. Also, she played queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She portrayed teens as teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
